I have quite a high stress job in London and every now and then the stress gets just a little biut too much for me. Whenever this happens I just try to remove myself from my situation, go somewhere else for a few days, and relax and unwind. I am fortunate in a way that I am able to take whatever time off work I need, within reason. The nature of the job is that you look after your own clients, and the company is happy as long as you are performing.

That was the situation a couple of months ago, and I knew that I just had to remove myself from the situation. I started to have a quick look around online for any last minute travel deals, and I found some very cheap Edinburgh flights. I loved Scotland and it is somewhere that I have been to hide away before. There is so much to do in the city of Edinburgh, and it is so easy to jump in a cab and hit the links of a fabulous golf course for the afternoon. It is one of the most rejuvenating and refreshing places that I have ever been to, so when I saw the flights I bought them there and then.

The week in Edinburgh was exactly what I needed at the time and I can honestly say that on my return to work I was like a man possessed. I resolved all of my problems, got my clients in line, and had one of the most successful months of my career!

Going back to Japan, (I’m sounding more Japanese than ever) during spring time they celebrate this kind of festival called Hanami or cherry blossom viewing. Since these flowers is the epitome of spring time, people pack some food and drink and spread their picnic blanket under these beautiful trees and have a casual conversation. The usual food are those of finger foods like sushi, chicken karaage (Japanese fried chicken) tempura and sake (Japanese rice wine)People really wait for this event because according to them cherry blossom flowers don’t last that long so they have to make their early camping as soon as the flowers bloom.

If you think that cherry blossoms only grow in Japan, it’s not true. Thousands of cherry blossom trees are found circling the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C., near the Jefferson Memorial. Like Japan, Washington also has a weeklong celebration for the blooming of these flowers and also to commemorate the coming of the spring. Of course, these trees are given by Japanese ambassadors to the US some long time ago.

Spring is really an ideal time to go out and for picnics. It’s a relief that chilly temperature is finally over. It’s time to go out of the house and feel the fresh air and see the beautiful flowers.

Being able to travel cheap is what most people are looking to find these days since the economy is not really that friendly to majority of the people all over the world. Even though we may be tightening our belts, the idea of being able to relax is still in our minds and we should not try to forget because our bodies are not designed to just keep on accepting all of life’s stresses. For the vegetarians and vegans, it is most probably trickier because you need to get information on the restaurants that would serve organic food. It is very difficult to catch steel head trout because these fishes are great fighters and as a result they are very difficult to get in the freshwater streams. They live in really extreme water conditions and have a very erratic cycle of reproduction. Thus here are some great tips to get some steelhead trout in freshwater.

My friend and I were talking yesterday about our travels in Russia when he suddenly asked me “where is the north pole located?” I was laughing at first because I honestly thought that he was kidding but it turns out, he was really serious with his question. I told him that he was able to get there already as a part of our trip. I gave him our Moscow guide and made sure that he will understand what I am talking about. He remembered the place but didn’t know that it was the actual North Pole.

Kidding aside, the trip to the Kremlin and red square were the ones that I mostly enjoyed. The Moscow Kremlin, for those who don’t know, is a fortified fortress and it is the largest fortress in the world and it is where the Kremlin palace is located. The Red Square on the other hand, is the place that you will certainly want to see once that you set foot in Russia because it is the most famous city square in Russia and one of the most famous in the world. Your trip to Russia will never be completed if you don’t get to see the marvelous structures that these two locations have.

Last week, just after New Year, I was able to get an opportunity to go to the beautiful country of the Philippine islands and was able to eat in a restaurant named Antonio’s Grill in Tagaytay City. My purpose of going there was to get a taste of true Filipino style food and I was not disappointed because I was able to get my taste buds a certain flavor that I’ll never find in the western side of the world.

The pakbet rice was the one that really got my attention because it was purely a mixture of vegetables that was cooked together with rice and made it a complete meal by itself. I found out that pakbet is actually a type of viand that they have in the Philippines, and the restaurant took advantage of its rich flavor and mixed it together to create a unique type of rice.

I remember when I had my travels in Europe and some parts of China… I was able to get through Italy and got a chance to have a taste of their genuine amazing food, more particularly the shrimp scampi. It is simply my most favorite of all Italian delicacy due to its rich and wonderful taste, yet it is easy to prepare at home.

All you really need to have is butter, garlic, onions, white wine and lemon, and with all of the herbs and spices that I have inside my kitchen, I can easily mix and match tastes that would soothe my tongue. But of course, nothing beats the unadulterated taste of a dish that was made by a native and when I was able to taste one in Italy, I just couldn’t figure out what the chef has added to it that made it taste so different from how I do it at home.

It is just the start of the new year but if you really want to get the best deals, planning your summer vacation as early as now should be able to get you cheaper rates but with quality type of vacation. That is how I was able to get my long trip to different parts of Europe and China. Planning something ahead of time certainly gives you an advantage if you are trying to book a flight and reservation to another place or country.

Usually, if you try to book a flight for a trip that will happen a few months from now, the travel agencies would give you some really nice discounts and might even give you a lot of freebies to choose from. Better act now because who know, you may be able to finally get that trip to Barbados or Hawaii without the hassle of overspending your hard earned cash.

Speaking of planning early, if you already have a date to tie the knot, it would certainly help if you would look for honeymoon destinations early as well. At this time of the year, only a few people are getting married and if you have been dreaming of spending your honeymoon in a very romantic place, better go to your nearest travel agent now and look for your options because even if your wedding is happening in the month of June, you can certainly find some good deals as early as now, with cheaper prices and even more perks to take advantage of. Just think about it… you could see yourself on a flight going either to Hawaii, Bora Bora, Aruba and their famous Caribbean beaches, Mauritius and their white sand beaches, Italy and their elegant architecture, Thailand and their exotic cuisine, or even in France for the most obvious reasons.
