Everybody in the world, no matter what country you may be located, knowing some quick dinner recipes is certainly a must, especially if you are just living alone and working in an office at the same time. You wouldn’t want to always just buy take outs and call for food deliveries because they are both unhealthy and too expensive if you calculate all the accumulated amount in a week. Keep in mind that there are always some ingredients out there that are easy to cook because of their texture and features. Fish and veggies are the perfect example of this as they can easily get cooked even before you get to slip into something more comfortable.

Fish is usually easier to cook with soup but if you are not a fan of that kind of dish, you can always do something else with it. Just make sure that you have the proper ingredients immediately like olive oil, fish fillets, salt, pepper, onions, tomatoes and cheese. Just have 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a microwavable baking dish, put the ½ pound of fish fillets on it, sprinkle ¼ teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoon of minced onions, and 1 whole tomato chopped and seeded, then cover it with a microwavable plastic wrap. Put it in the microwave for 2 and 1/2 to 3 minutes or at least until the fish flakes easily with a fork, turn the dish once during cooking. Sprinkle with cheese, if you have Colby and parmesan, put ½ cup of Colby and 2 tablespoon of grated parmesan on top. Recover and let the dish stand for 3-4 minutes before serving. It should give you a nice meal in 20 minutes or even less.

With veggies, stir fry is always reliable for any quick cooking. As long as you have onions, garlic and tomatoes, you can easily cook just about any vegetable that you have in your fridge. Just be sure that you have your favorite herbs and spices ready in your counters so you can easily have variation of flavors every time you would cook a vegetable meal. In case you are still feeling a bit lazy, you can always just wash them, put some of your favorite dressing, toss it in a bowl and you already got yourself a quick vegetable salad to enjoy for the night. You don’t need to eat too much at night anyway, especially if you are trying to lose weight.

Going back to Japan, (I’m sounding more Japanese than ever) during spring time they celebrate this kind of festival called Hanami or cherry blossom viewing. Since these flowers is the epitome of spring time, people pack some food and drink and spread their picnic blanket under these beautiful trees and have a casual conversation. The usual food are those of finger foods like sushi, chicken karaage (Japanese fried chicken) tempura and sake (Japanese rice wine)People really wait for this event because according to them cherry blossom flowers don’t last that long so they have to make their early camping as soon as the flowers bloom.

If you think that cherry blossoms only grow in Japan, it’s not true. Thousands of cherry blossom trees are found circling the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C., near the Jefferson Memorial. Like Japan, Washington also has a weeklong celebration for the blooming of these flowers and also to commemorate the coming of the spring. Of course, these trees are given by Japanese ambassadors to the US some long time ago.

Spring is really an ideal time to go out and for picnics. It’s a relief that chilly temperature is finally over. It’s time to go out of the house and feel the fresh air and see the beautiful flowers.

Being able to travel cheap is what most people are looking to find these days since the economy is not really that friendly to majority of the people all over the world. Even though we may be tightening our belts, the idea of being able to relax is still in our minds and we should not try to forget because our bodies are not designed to just keep on accepting all of life’s stresses. Like having structured settlements, you have to make sure that you plan everything ahead to see to it that you’ll have all ease to enjoy everything. Food is of course a main worry for most travelers. The fact that we cannot live without eating also adds to the pressure of being able to save money. If it would be possible, try to just cook your own meal. Unless your main purpose is to have a taste of the local delicacies in the place that you visited, cooking your own meal will prove to be a lot better for your wallet and it can be fun as well. If not, try to make a research first on the area. If you have some friends that have been in that same place, asking them would prove to be really useful.

Wherever you may plan of going, never forget to think about the food that you would be eating once that you are already in the location that you want to be in. Keeping things healthy should still be the number one option, even though you are in a vacation. Like in every kind of business where you would most certainly need to have a good business intelligence system, you must also make your own system about food when traveling to another place or even another country.

For the omnivores, it should be easy, but you still need to make a research on where you could find the best food, but also cheap or at least enough to get you well fed the whole time you were there, and also make sure that you know about the type of delicacies of that specific place that you visited. For the vegetarians and vegans, it is most probably trickier because you need to get information on the restaurants that would serve organic food. The bottom line is unless you can cook food on your own, you must make sure that besides thinking about your itinerary, you should also think about where you could get your food. Learn how to plan ahead when it comes to food as well.
